Hi loves! Today is important.
It’s October 1st, marking the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our sensitivity to this issue should be present in our hearts and minds every day of the year but specifically this month, we have the opportunity to band together and dedicate ourselves to Breast Cancer AWARENESS on every level.
AWARENESS of self. Taking the initiative to check in with our own bodies and understanding what health issues effect our age and gender. This month is about being aware of the signs of Breast Cancer in both females and males and taking action to protect our bodies.
AWARENESS of others. How do we offer support to anyone effected by Breast Cancer? This is a big one. Opening our eyes to those who might need our support and educating ourselves enough to know how to best support them.
AWARENESS of those who are making an impact. Acknowledging those who have dedicated themselves to making an impact for this cause.
I feel so honored to highlight an amazing organization called Dancer’s Against Cancer benefiting Circle of Hope Dancers Foundation and their incredible mission.
Dancers Against Cancer
Circle of Hope
The Circle of Hope’s mission is to create an alliance in the dance community that provides financial support and inspiration to dance educators, choreographers, dancers and their families who have been impacted by cancer.
If you’d like to get involved with Dancers Against Cancer & Circle of Hope Dancers Foundation, email Michelle Colon at email@example.com
Today is also World Ballet Day. Feeling shivers about the mission of this organization and the incredible impact and inspiration they are creating in the dance community.
LIMITED EDITION BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
Months dedicated to awareness wake us up! The seemingly small act of wearing pink this month can ignite conversation, connection, and most importantly, support. Also, the symbol of pink serves as a reminder to realign with the pillars of awareness and that reminder is one we should tap in to daily, whether we’re wearing pink or not.
I chose the “You Are Enough” quote because it symbolizes empowerment and courage for ourselves and for each other. It’s a message of strength to support a cause that brings us together to expand our minds and hearts for those effected by Breast Cancer.
Again, I couldn’t feel more honored to be partnering with Dancers Against Cancer and Circle of Hope Dancers Foundation for this limited edition shirt. For every Pink Edition “You Are Enough” shirt sold, $1 will be donated to Dancers Against Cancer and Circle of Hope Dancer’s Foundation. Also, FFB has received a commitment from an anonymous donor to match the donation, dollar for dollar, up to $1000. As outlined in the mission statements, DAC and COH Dancers Foundation offers direct financial support for those in the dance community impacted by cancer. The donation will be used towards supporting their mission for someone in need.
The Pink Edition shirts will be sold exclusively in the month of October to recognize and support Breast Cancer Awareness.
