We realize you probably have some questions, comments, concerns, and emoji reactions...

YOU: "I've always wanted to be a part of a #BroadwayBookClub! When does it start?"

April 14th , FFB’s #BroadwayBookClub will take flight! We want you to have some time to snag the book, tell some buddies, and get *jazz hands emoji* excited about this.

FUN FACT: April 14th IS FFB's 3 year anniversary... special day pals. Get into it!!

YOU: "OK, duh, I'm in! Where do I find the book?"

  • Rent your book from the library (audio or print)!

  • Download the eBook!

  • Purchase online, from your favorite bookstore!

  • Borrow it from a friend

YOU: "Between working out, auditioning, and the other million things I juggle, how do I find the time to read?"

Not to worry... We're your accountability buddies! We recommend swapping some screen time at night for a few pages of reading (even 10 pages at most) Easy as that. Also, we realize we all have our own city hustle each and every day and sometimes remembering to set aside time to read can slip our minds. Fret not, about every 2 weeks Ahren, our Chief of FFB Book Club, will be e-mailing a little reminder to keep the pages turning!

YOU: "Do I have to live in New York?"

No! You can live anywhere on our big beautiful planet and be a part of FFB Book Club. We'll be meeting in New York at the end of each book to discuss, but #technology, we'll be livestreaming our discussion so everyone can come! *robot emoji*

YOU: "What's the first book?"

FFB’s #BroadwayBookClub will choose books mentioned by one of our Fabulously Fierce Broadway Mentors. We're excited to announce that the book kicking off our Fit for Broadway Book Club is... DARING GREATLY BY BRENE BROWN! *shooting stars emoji*

YOU: "Well I've been trying to be great and daring lately so... COOL! How'd you pick it?!"

We'll This week our book was inspired by Sierra Boggess! Daring Greatly was recommended in her interview on fitforbroadway.com!! (excerpt from her interview below!)

Q: Who or what inspires you?

A: "SO MUCH!  Nature inspires me, animals inspire me, Wayne Dyer, Oprah, Ellen Degeneres, Brene Brown, Deepak Chopra… the list goes on and on.  And PLEASE, I encourage anyone who doesn’t know who these people are to look them up, read their books, listen to their podcasts, watch Super Soul Sunday on Oprah’s OWN network!  I am currently reading Daring Greatly by Brene Brown, and it’s life changing.  If I need to feel grounded, I walk in the grass with my bare feet and feel the EARTH.  If I need to be reminded of the present moment, I look at the BEAUTIFUL example of animals, who are the MASTERS of being in the moment.  We can learn so much from the world around us, if we remember to look."

YOU: "How long will I have to read each book?"

We will have 6 weeks to read our book and let the inspiration sink-in, before we come together to have a fun and free discussion on our takeaways, what inspired us, and which parts stood out.

YOU: "What are the meet-up deets because I'm hashtag obsessed with free fun hangouts?"

Us too! We'll be sending out details (important step below!) to you guys about the meet-up closer to (the week of May 22nd for this book!). The when, where, who, what.. etc. Stay tuned!

DON'T FORGET THE LAST STEP!! Please email our Chief of Book Club, Ahren at community@fitforbroadway.com to officially join FFB Book Club, meaning you'll be on our listy-list for up to date announcements, meet-ups, and that little reminder we'll be sending your way to just keep reading, reading, reading!

We can’t wait to read and discuss Daring Greatly! We'll check in with you again soon. Until then, Happy Reading Fit for Broadway Fam!
