Welcome to Fitness Fridays! For the month of September, we are going to release a new feature focused on Fitness – every Friday. These features will include at-home workouts, fitness challenges, and our favourite workout studios, to name a few. What better way to kick start your weekend?
After years of giggling to myself and my affinity for silly puns (aka dad jokes), we’re happy to announce our newest workout series! The perfect series to help you feel incredible and sassy in your Broadway bod – THE BODWAY. Broadway inspires me to BE strong, and we can’t wait for you to join us in these fun new workouts!
How this shook down: We’re creating workouts inspired by our favorite Broadway icons. Think Barbra Streisand = “Barbell Streisand”. From there, we’ve created a workout series for you to do at home, at the gym, or with friends. Let’s get down to business.
**Start song at 16 seconds**
We all want those toned-Broadway arms that you can see all the way from the 2nd mezzanine, am I right?! Inspired by the one and only Barbra Streisand – I give you Barbell Streisand.
Before we start, we want to clear up any questions you might have like…
- What’s a barbell?
- We googled it for you so you have some visuals of different types of barbells.
- I don’t have a barbell. What do I do?
- Use water bottles, light weights, or trophies à la Babs.
Always consult a fitness professional if you’re new to this or unsure if you’re doing it correctly. Keep that Bodway safe and injury free!! Our tip would be to start light and work your way up as you feel comfortable.
12 reps per movement.
Complete the circuit (1-6), three times through.
Barbell required for all exercises

“brb, let me just grab my gown & trophies so I can do this workout with you.” – us trying to be babs every day
