INTERVIEW:

Q: You’re pretty much the real life version of Jasmine...she was always the coolest of all the Princesses. ;) How did you first get into musical theater?

A: First of all thank you for saying that! She really is the best! Elsa who?? I got into musical theatre when I was 6 because my sister did community theatre and took dance class so I pretty much wanted to do everything she did!

Q: Was fitness always a part of your life and your performance career?

A: Absolutely! My dad is a triathlete/runner and he and my mother have been racing most of my life, so I have been exposed to fitness for as long as I can remember. My family is always active and we like to take family trips to the gym together! LOL!

As far as my routine now, I normally exercise 6 times a week, which include: personal training twice a week, and the other days I usually do Flywheel (cycling) and yoga. However I like to keep my body guessing and keep it fun! These fun adventures include: rock climbing, aerial yoga, boxing, kickboxing, crossfit etc. I usually allow 1 full day to rest, if not I will take something like restorative yoga as an "active recovery" day.

Q: How do you keep your voice healthy?

A: I usually never go out! I get at least 8 hours of sleep and try and eat clean meals! If my body is healthy so is my voice!

Q: Do you follow a specific diet?

A: I don't necessarily; I treat eating healthy as a lifestyle. As far as treats go...everything in moderation!

Q: What is your favorite energy-boosting snack/meal?

A: Nuts! They satisfy my hunger without weighing me down.

Q: What is your best advice for stage confidence?

A: First believe in yourself and then go the extra mile with preparation and practice.

Q: What has been one of the biggest or most significant challenges of your journey?

A: Lack of time for my personal life but it's the price we pay to do what we love.

Q: Who or what inspires you?

A: As cliche as it sounds, my parents. They have inspired me for as long as I can remember and the older I get the more respect and admiration I have for them!

Q: What is your advice for those trying to perform on Broadway?

A: Its extremely hard work and you have to have the passion with the drive. Talent may get you in the door but it's more important to have perseverance and to be the kind of person that people want to work with. Always be kind and always put in the work.

Q: How do you keep your life illuminated?

A: I stay active and surround myself with friends and family. By day I get out in the sun for exercise and by night I live my dream!  Life is good!
