Welcome to the newest FFB series, “A Day In My Broadway Life” featuring the lifestyles of our Broadway favorites! FFB loves to explore the twenty-one or so hours performers spend offstage, discovering the secrets of what it takes to be Great. This series will dive in hour-by-hour of what it’s like to live the Broadway Lifestyle!
Reed was featured on Fit for Broadway a year ago, February, when he was in Fiddler on the Roof! Check out his feature HERE (one of my favorite FFB photoshoots to date!)
You can now see Reed in The Great Comet (he’s amazing. it’s amazing. go see it.) I couldn’t be happier that Reed is kicking off the new series for us and sharing what’s like to live a day in his Broadway life. #inspired
10AM – Wake up!!! No need for an alarm clock as I have my dog, Riot, to wake me up. #batteriesnotincluded
10.30AM – Much need coffee. Double latte please. Breakfast this morning is two eggs, over rice. My boyfriend, AKA, Mr Mistoffelees, is Cuban, so a good source of Protein and Carbohydrates for a double show day is required. #cubaninthemaking
11.30AM – Shower time. This is also a good time to warm up those vocals and say bye bye bye to that morning phlegm. #steamheat
12.30PM – I’m out the door and getting ready for the double show day. Also, hello snow.
1.45PM – 15 min call. I am dressed and getting ready show. My character in COMET, gets to paint metallic gold in my hair. Wait, is this Broadway? #badtothebone
2PM – Show number 1. I’m caffeinated, fed, warm and ready to perform. #letsseewhathappens
5PM – I’m leaving the theatre to head home to walk Riot. It’s a quick turn around until the next show, so I use the time wisely. If I am lucky, I head to the gym, to help sustain and strengthen my body for the intense 8 show week schedule.
6PM – Leaving home. I blended a smoothie consisting of coconut water, raspberries, blueberries, a banana, and protein. This helps me be energized for the second show.
8PM – Show number 2.
11PM – I am on my way and ready to walk Riot again. Tonight, I cooked Arroz Con Pollo, its a classic Latin dish, with chicken and rice. I added a side of avocado, to pair nicely with the dish. #mybestfriendisachef
2AM – It takes some time to wind down after the shows, so I relax with my little family. It’s time for bed. #wouldntchangeanything
