Whip up a batch of these on the weekend to assure your audition week is full of ease! Breakfast will be one less worry the day of your audition giving you an extra few minutes to pause and meditate. (cue: ohMMmm-elet moment!) Going into an audition room with a clear and calm mind will allow you to be in your highest power! So, simply grab a pre-made cup from the fridge, take a moment to meditate, then head to your appointment. Meditation Ohmmmlet Cups
Makes 12 mini or 6 large cups
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup spinach (chopped)
- 1/2 cup red pepper (diced)
- coconut oil (to coat baking cups)
- Whisk eggs together in a small bowl.
- Coat each “muffin” tin with coconut oil to prevent sticking.
- Fill bottom of muffin tin with diced peppers.
- Pour the eggs over the peppers.
- Sprinkle with spinach!
- Cook for 10-15 mins at 350 degrees F
Before you start your meditation, write down 3 things you’re grateful for as soon as you wake up!
Find a quiet place.
Sit on a mat in a cross-legged position or on a chair and close your eyes.
Begin to elongate your spine and gently tuck your chin to create space in the back of your neck.
Relax your shoulders down your back and rest the back of your palms on your knees.
Exhale out powerfully through your mouth and at the end of your exhale hold 2 seconds.
Begin inhaling through your nose for 3 slow counts.
At the end of your inhale, hold for 2 counts.
Exhale through your nose for 5 counts.
(Increase or decrease counts by 1 but aim towards 3-6 counts per inhale & exhale)
Repeat the 3:2:5 inhale & exhale pattern 10 times.
During the pattern, remember to relax your shoulders especially on your inhale.
Relax the muscles in your face.
After you complete your pattern of 10 breathe cycles, return to a normal breathing pattern.
Continuing to breathe deep, silently repeat the following mantras on the breathe pattern.
Inhale / “Breathing in, I trust the outcome”
Exhale \ “Breathing out, I release my need to know the outcome”
Inhale / “Breathing in I focus on fulfillment in this moment”
Exhale \ “Breathing out I feel my inner strength”
Gently smile and blink the eyes open.
